4th Congress of Azerbaijani Woman opened in Baku today at the initiative of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children’s Affairs.
The event, held under the motto Unity for Development with the participation of 2,000 delegates from different cities and regions, as well as representatives of government agencies, NGOs and international organizations, is to ensure equal rights for women and increase their participation in the economic, social, social and cultural life of the country.
Chief of Staff of the Presidential Administration Ramiz Mehdiyev and Vice-Premier Elchin Afandiyev also take part in the congress.
At the end of the Congress it is expected to adopt an appeal to President Ilham Aliyev, UN and Council of Europe.
