Iran-Azerbaijan Republic ties excellent

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad called Iran and Azerbaijan Republic relations brotherly and excellent, the official website of the President of Iran reports.

In a meeting with Head of Caucasus Muslim Bureau Sheikhol-islam Allahshokour Pashazadeh, President Ahmadinejad said that Tehran and Baku ties are upon brotherhood, religion and love, so our relations are different from those of other countries.

Dr.Ahmadinejad underlined that Iran and Azerbaijan Republic are standing by each other’s and are supporting each other and it will be the same in the future.

He pointed out that our brotherly ties have always had enemies and these evils are trying to create disruption in our relations, but undoubtedly, because of wisdom of both states officials, they won’t be successful.

The president said that he is certain that the Azerbaijan Republic government will deal with these conspiracies.

Sheikhol-islam Pashazadeh, for his part, conveyed warm greetings of President Ilham Aliyev to President Ahmadinejad and said that Azerbaijan Republic wants brotherly and friendly ties with Iran.

He told President Ahmadinejad that following his invitation during his visit to Azerbaijan Republic and his recommendation concerning visit of Ulama of the Azerbaijan Republic to Iran, it is hoped that the move could be effective in deepening ties and communication between the two countries, adding that we believe Iran and Azerbaijan Republic are supporting each other and can rely on each other.

Head of Azerbaijan Republic Doyens Council Fattah Haydarov pointed out that late Azerbaijan Republic leader Haydar Aliyev had always underlined that Azerbaijan Republic should maintain its ties with Iran in the highest level and now we are following this goal.

He added that Iran has always supported Azerbaijan Republic, so its people like Iranians and their leaders.
